Congratulations to the 2021 Lincoln Youth Football League Coach of the Year - Jason Moser, Green’s Furnace & Plumbing!

About Coach Moser

Coach Moser has been coaching youth sports for over 20 years in football, baseball, and wrestling.  Coach Moser has been involved with the Lincoln Youth Football League for 9 years and has served as the Athletic Director for the Green’s Furnace & Plumbing district for the past 3 years.  While coaching and investing in Lincoln’s youth, he is also very active behind the scenes looking to better our players experience both on and off the field.  This season, Jason single handedly spearheaded the league's inaugural individual MVP awards, which was capped off with individual players being recognized during our league championship games, which included current Cornhusker football players attending to present our youth athlete with these awards.  

In addition to Coach Moser’s duties as an Athletic Director, he also took the time to coach Green’s first flex football team during the 2021 season, guiding them to a semi-finals appearance, all while his son was playing in the A-division.  The dedication to ensuring each of his players received the best coaching and mentorship possible meant missing chances to see his own son play, showing his selflessness in his character and commitment to his team.  

Over the years, Coach Moser has had teams that have been undefeated, won championships, and were showered with accolades, but that isn’t what makes him a popular or great coach.  It is his commitment to each young athlete he encounters which sets him apart.  It is common place for former players to continue to call him coach and thank him for the guidance, lessons, and preparation, not only for the next level of football, but for life.  This is what motivates him and defines Coach Moser as a leader of men.
